I’m Back… and I’ve Got a New Adventure to Share!

Hi friends — it feels so good to say this: I’m back!

It’s been a long time since I’ve posted here on FunEmptyNester.com, and like so many of you, the past few years have been a whirlwind of change, adjustment, and reflection. The COVID pandemic brought everything — including this blog — to a sudden stop. Life looked different. Priorities shifted. And honestly, I needed the space to catch my breath.

But something unexpected happened during that quiet time.

What started as a simple idea to declutter our home (you know, finally tackling those closets we always say we’ll get to) turned into something so much bigger… I started an eBay reseller business.

Yes, really!

At first, it was just a way to pass time — listing a few unused items, learning the ropes of shipping, and celebrating those little cha-ching notifications. But the more I learned, the more I loved it. The thrill of finding hidden gems at thrift stores, researching vintage pieces, connecting with buyers who were thrilled to discover something they’d been hunting for — it became more than a hobby. It became a passion.

Over time, my little side hustle started to grow. I developed systems, learned the ins and outs of shipping efficiency (hello, USPS flat rate boxes!), and discovered a whole community of amazing resellers. I wasn’t just cleaning out anymore — I was building a business.

And now, I’m bringing that journey right here to FunEmptyNester.com.

This space has always been about reinvention, rediscovery, and living with joy in this new chapter of life. Reselling has become a big part of my story — and I’m so excited to share what I’ve learned with you.

Whether you’re curious about how to get started with eBay, looking for tips to declutter with purpose, or just want a fun behind-the-scenes look at this unexpected adventure, you’re in the right place.

Thank you for sticking around. I’ve missed you — and I can’t wait to reconnect.

New posts and videos are on the way. Until then, stay curious, stay kind… and maybe go check your closets. You never know what treasures are hiding in there.

Warmly,
Laura
