I’ve learned I’m not the only one who has never heard of a Temperature Blanket! Once I did, I knew I had to do it!
So a temperature blanket is a crocheted blanket, that represents the high temperature of every day of the year. You make a row of single crochets in the yarn color of the temperature chart. Here is an example of one I found online. Personally, being from Texas, I had to do a little customizing to mine to include days over 100 degrees.
I started by chaining 200 with a K – 6.5mm hook. I’m using Yarn Bee Soft Secret 6oz weight. Any yarn can be used. If I would make it again, I would probably shorten my chain to 150 because the width of the blanket is pretty wide. Once it’s completed I have a better idea.
If you are interested in making one, it’s not too late! There are apps and websites that show you the past day’s temperature. Just take the high of that day and begin your blanket. The website I use is called www.timeanddate.com

I really want to learn to crotchet now.
The temperature blanket is such a great idea.
Gayle I’m so sorry it took me so long to respond! You should try to learn. I’m left handed and YouTube videos help me a lot. Plus this is the easiest blanket with only using single crochet! Stay tuned I will be showing updates!
